I was talking to my sister on FaceTime this morning and she mentioned eating S’mores dip recently and it’s been on my mind all day! I had the ingredients on hand to make it, but I didn’t want to make the larger version using a cast iron skillet for just me and my hubby. I adapted this recipe I saw on YouTube a while back to make single serving sizes. It was a perfect weekend treat!
For One Serving, You’ll Need:
- 1/4 tablespoon of Butter
- 1/3 cup of Chocolate Chips – I used Semi Sweet!
- 3 Large Marshmallows
- Graham Crackers
- Optional – A tiny splash of Homemade Vanilla Extract!
Let’s Make S’mores Dip
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. I used my toaster oven to get the ramekin even closer to the heat to brown the marshmallows! Once your oven is preheated, put the ramekin inside for 5 minutes. While the ramekin is getting hot, cut your marshmallows in half. Then cut a tablespoon of butter into fourths. You could also use a little homemade cooking spray instead of butter if you would prefer! This will help the chocolate not stick to the ramekin.
After the 5 minutes are up, use an oven mitt to remove the ramekin from the oven. Add your butter and move it around the ramekin so that it covers the bottom. Add in your chocolate chips. Carefully place your marshmallows on top – remember the dish is very hot! I was able to fit 5 half marshmallows in one ramekin and 6 in the other one without burning my fingers off.
Put the ramekin into the oven for 5-7 minutes or until the marshmallows are golden brown. Set a timer for this step so you don’t forget to check them!
Oh My Gracious
Once the timer goes off, pop those babies out and let them cool for just a minute or two! No stirring is necessary – the chocolate will be perfectly melted and heavenly!
Dessert Is Served
Place each ramekin on a glass plate with a handful of graham crackers and enjoy!
