For our January “Winter” theme, I wanted to try out a recipe I saw on Pinterest (where all cute ideas are found!) to make snow paint. I was really hoping this would work, because I was out of all of my white paint!
>>Shaving cream (For some reason the cheap, men’s kind works best for me!)
>>White Elmer’s glue
Mix equal parts together and stir well with a paint brush. We tried it out to make paper plate Polar Bears and they turned out SO cute! All of the materials for the face stuck really well on the paint. The texture was really fluffy and fun for my students to play with, but it dried like normal paint (much easier to hang up, thankfully!)
So easy! I think we’ll have to try making a snowman next. You can also use the extra shaving cream sprayed on their desks or at a table with a few hot wheels cars so they can “drive in the snow”. 🙂
